The Tax and Customs Service of Great Britain (HMRC) began a massive sending of notifications to citizens of the country, reminiscent of the need to pay taxes on income from cryptocurrencies. At the beginning of 2024, more than 8,000 letters were sent to individuals suspected of evading paying capital tax from cryptocurrency operations.

The Japanese Financial Services Agency (FSA) clarified its position regarding the P2P trade in cryptocurrencies, saying that it did not plan to introduce a ban on transactions between individuals. In February 2024, FSA called on banks to tighten customer protection, recommending to stop processing the transfers if the name of the sender does not coincide with the name of the account owner.
